Hey there, everyone! Welcome back to my blog. Today we’re celebrating the latest Heffy Doodle release with a blog hop 🙂 There are some really fun projects that you’ll be able to see today, and don’t forget that if you place a £30 order on the Heffy Doodle shop you get the Lil Lighthouse stamp set!
Alright, let’s get to the card I made for today! I used one of my favorite stamp sets from the release – it’s a really popular one with most people actually – You Go, Gull! I used my Distress Oxide inks and some metallic watercolors to create a fun background. Then I die cut some vellum waves using the new Breaking Waves dies. I love that using vellum allowed me to still show the water color, but also give the wavy effect I was going for!
I stamped, colored and die cut the images from You Go, Gull, and added them to the card panel. Next came the sentiment.
I ink blended Fossilized Amber Distress Ink onto some white card stock and heat embossed a sentiment from the Close At Heart stamp set, trimming it down to be a strip. I adhered that to my card with foam tape, and added some white gel pen details. And that was my card for today! Be sure to keep hopping and leaving comments for your chance to win a £50 gift certificate to the Heffy Doodle shop! Here’s the line up:

Hi friends! I’m back today because the Heffy Doodle gang and the Studio Katia team are getting together for a collab! Today we’re sharing cards that we made using our faves from both companies. It’s going to be a lot of fun, plus, there are prizes! You could win 25£ to the Heffy Doodle store or $25 to Studio Katia! Let’s jump right in!
My first card was made using the Loops die from Studio Katia with the Spaced Outstamps and dies from Heffy Doodle. I made a shaker card by stacking 4 of the circle cut out portion of the dies together and adding in lots of Studio Katia bling! I love their iridescent sequins and the seed beads. I also used the dotted frame from the die set to border the whole scene. How fun!
After I made the first card I had a ton of circle cut outs, so I decided to put them to use! I adhered them all to a card base and ink blended my Distress Oxide inks over the surface. Then I stamped and colored a lot of images from the Dino Time stamp set. I just love the bright colors! To finish off the card I added a layered die cut of the Thanks die from Heffy Doodle and a trimmed down sub sentiment from the Dino Time set. To finish it off I had to use more bling from Studio Katia!
Whew! For my final card I went a made a cute and simple shaker card. I ink blended a piece of card stock and die cut the Balloon Shaker die from Studio Katia from it. I love that you can use this die two ways! Once the ink blended part of the card stock was dry I heat embossed a sentiment from Heffy Doodle’sEveryday Sentiment Duos stamp set in white. I trimmed the piece down and added it to a A2 size panel after making sure to jam pack it with sequins.
And that’s it for my cards! I hope you enjoyed them. Be sure to keep hopping along, because the more comments you leave the better chance you have at those awesome prizes! Here’s our line up:

Hi, everyone! I’m popping in quick today to share a couple of cards I made using the new Spellbinders embossing folders. These fun new folders emboss and shapes that are die cut from the paper! They are so fun. Here’s a look at my first project.
I just love the detail it adds to the design. The Delhi design was so fun to add color to. I loved how there were so many different patterns. I ink blended colors across the paper to add even more depth to the design.
I went a little more simple for my second card. I cut/embossed the Sedona embossing folder from kraft card stock and added a simple sentiment to it. I also added some white paint splatter to tie in the white peeking through from the die cut. How cute is that??
Be sure to head over to the Spellbinders shop to see all the fun designs! Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I’ll see you again soon with another card!
Hi all! I’m back to share some fun projects using the new Bold Type Collection by Spellbinders! When I saw these fun word dies I just loved the bigger size as well as the unique texture layer to them 🙂 There are so many fun projects you could make with these dies, but of course my mind went straight to card designs!
In my first project I wanted to show how cute it is to layer the two sizes of word dies. Each set comes with a regular word die, and a version with striped embossing marks on them. For this card I did some washi tape stripes and ink blended on some color to a pink card base. Then I die cut my words and adhered them together with glue.
In this photo you can really see the line detail. The word dies are simple, and can be used on their own or combined with other products. In this card design I went with the Die D-Lites Bold Type Happy Day Etched Dies. I love the phrase “happy day” and feel it’s perfect for so many occasions!
I also love covering a card base with die cuts and ink blending over it, which is what I did here. I die cut the textured version of the Die D-Lites Bold Type Hello Etched Die and adhered it all over an A2 size card base. Then I ink blended Distress Oxide ink over the front to give a rainbow effect.
I also layered up the regular “hello” from the set and put it at the center of the card in white to really give it a focal point. I love how soft and pretty this one turned out.
I wanted to do something a little more glittery for my last card, so I combined some of the techniques I used in the last two cards. I used some washi tape to ink blend the triangles onto a card base, then I started die cutting my sentiment. I created my own glitter paper with some sticky paper and loose glitter and die cut the Die D-Lites Bold Type Thank You Etched dies from it. I also die cut the same dies from vellum and adhered them together with glue.
The sentiment was adhered to the card and it was complete! It has the best of both worlds 🙂
I had so much fun working with these dies and I think they will be awesome for so many projects. Which phrase from the new release is your favorite? Mine has to be Happy Day, followed closely by Smile! Thanks so much for stopping by today to see my projects!! I hope you enjoyed them and I hope you’ll come back soon to see more crafty fun!
Hi all! I’m popping in today to share my card for the latest Your Next Stamp challenge. This week’s theme was a good one for me. It was “Inside and Out” – decorate your card inside and out! I almost never decorate the inside of my card… I even have a hard time remember to stamp a sentiment in the inside a lot of times! So, this was a great challenge to get me to remember how fun that can be. Here’s a look at my card:
I used the new Rounded Panel Shapes dies to create a window to stamp the Piggy from Pigs Can Fly in. I also used the Puffy Cloud Panel die to add some cute clouds so it looks like he’s floating through the sky 🙂
I used the Shapes Panel dies to stamp “congratulations” on and attached it across the window. Then I stamped the inside sentiment behind the banner so that it isn’t seen when the card is closed. I loved adding some fun to the inside of my card! Do you always decorate the inside of your cards? Let me know! And be sure to play along with the challenge by getting all the details on the Your Next Stamp blog! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I’ll see you again soon with another card!
