Honey Bee Release Week Sneaks!

Good morning, and welcome back to Sneak Week for Honey Bee Stamps! I’ve got more sneaks to share with you as well as fun projects. Let’s get right to it.

048j

The first set is called Blah Bunny, and yes it is amazing. The set has an adorably sleepy bunny and cute little scene setters. Here I stamped, die cut and colored in a few of the images from the set and arranged them on the bottom of a Kraft card stock panel. I used a new Alpha set t create my snarky sentiment. This set is too cute for words!

008c

The next set I have to share is the Simple Alpha set. I used it in this card with the Happy word die set and created a Spring card! I also used one of the new sequin mixes to create a shaker card! The sequins in Honey Bee’s mixes are to die for! Don’t believe me? Take a look yourself!

012

I layered all three of the Happy dies to create an ombre sentiment, and used the Simple Alpha set to add a customized addition to the sentiment. The Simple Alpha’s are easy to line up to stamp multiple words at a time, or you can stamp one letter at a time like I did here. Either way they are so easy to use!

033s

The final sneak I have to share today is Simple Sentiments. This set is similar in font to the Simple Alpha, but it is a little bigger than the alpha set. There are tons of words in the set to create your own sentiments, or combine with other sets to make a really fun look.

034v

I also used one of the new sequin mixes on this card to add some more sparkle, and that awesome Happy word die-it’s become a quick favorite! This time I only used to of the layers of the die to create a different look that the last card. I colored the base layer in with a orange Copic and left the word ‘happy’ white so that it would pop against the colorful background. I love the way this one turned out!

That’s it for today’s sneaks. Be sure to take a look at the Honey Bee blog to see a lot of projects using the new products! The design team has been crafting up a storm and you need to see it!

Honey Bee Release Week!

Welcome to Honey Bee Stamp Release Week! There are so many fun new products that are being released this month in celebration of their birthday. Today I’m sharing projects I made using some of the new products.

033n

The first set is called Celebrate. There is a sentiment set that is very characteristic of Honey Bee sets. You can pair words and create your own sentiments. Also, there’s a coordinating die to cut out the word celebrate as well as other variations of the word celebrate. I combined this new set with the Celebration Box set. The two pair together so well! I stamped images from the Celebration Box set on a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock that I had cut with my Square Stitched die. I stamped them all in VersaMark and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder.

055x

I added Distress Ink with my ink blenders to the paper. The Bristol Smooth card stock blends paper so well, it’s one of my favorite to use with Distress Inks. I heat embossed the ‘time to’ and ‘you’ on black card stock and trimmed it down to little strips. The ‘celebrate’ die was cut from white card stock. I colored it in with a gray Copic. I added some shimmer marker to it as well as some Glossy Accents, after it was glued to the square panel. To finish it off I used a mixture of sequins from Honey Bee’s new mixes as well as a Diamond to add some sparkle.

038

The next new product is called Happy. This is another winner! It is a single ‘happy’ stamp that is large enough to really fill a card front. The thing I love about it is that there are so many techniques you can do with it! Here, I’ve done a rainbow sentiment with my Distress Oxide Inks. I inked up the stamp and spritzed it with water once it was stamped on my paper. It fixed any imperfections that there were and smoothed the lines between colors. There is a coordinating die set that goes with this word stamp. It cuts out outlines of the word that layer on top of each other. I’ve used two of the layers here.

040b

To finish the sentiment I added a part from the Smile set. I added ink behind a die cut heart and applied everything with foam tape. I love the white blocks with pops of color. I added Glossy Accents to the top of the ‘happy’ which made it pop even more.

And that’s it for my sneak peeks of new products today! There are a lot of projects being shared on the Honey Bee blog, and you definitely need to check them out 🙂 This is going to be a huge release and you won’t want to miss it!

Enjoy The Little Moments

Hello, everyone, and welcome back! I made a card today for the YNS Feature Day. The theme for April is “little ones.” This is such a great theme because you can do so much with it. Make sure you stop by the YNS blog to see all the inspiration for this theme–there are some awesome projects being shared!

073

I made this card by ink blending Mermaid Lagoon and Peacock feathers onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White cardstock. I did it towards the top of the panel because I knew I’d be die cutting the Stripe-Tastic Circle die from another piece of card stock that was going to layer over it. I die cut that and glued the two pieces together.

077

Next I stamped the flower and hummingbird from the Sweet Humming Bird set. I colored them in with my Copics and cut them out. I applied them over the circle with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment ‘enjoy life’s little moments’ from the Whatnot Sentiment Two set. This sentiment went perfectly with the theme!

075

I finished by adding some of the Enchanted Garden Sparkly Gumdrops  to finish it off. I seriously need to expand my gumdrop collection because I love adding these to projects. That’s it for my card today! Head over to the YNS blog to see all the great projects!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you’re having a great weekend!

YNS Challenge

Happy Friday! Welcome back to Creatively Cass! Today I’m joining in on the Your Next Stamp Challenge. Every Friday they have a sketch and color challenge and today I’m following the sketch. Here’s what it looks like.

YNSSketch62

I’ve been challenging myself to follow sketches more because it pushes me out of my comfort zone. Here’s what I came up with.

061

I started by die cutting some Kraft card stock with a stitched rectangle. Next I cut down some Neenah Solar White card stock for my rectangles. I used Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold and Scattered Straw to ink blend Distress Ink on the rectangles. I wanted them to look ombre. I stamped out the cute little chameleon from the One In A Chameleon set and colored him in with my Copics. I tried to make him look like he had walked across the rectangle papers and was changing to the colors of each of them. I cut him out and attached the rectangles and the chameleon to the Kraft piece.

062

Next I stamped the splatter image from the set with my Distress Oxides. I used them because they show up better on the Kraft due to their formulation. I stamped them in similar colors to the combo I used. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink on black card stock. I heat embossed it in gold embossing powder.

064

To finish the card I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in white in clusters around the card. I also added black gel pen to the eyes of the chameleon and white dots to his body for detail. I attached the card panel to a base and it was finished! I love the way this turned out. The colors of the chameleon have me swooning! Have you colored this YNS chameleon? The options are endless! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Be sure to head over to the YNS blog and play along with the challenge! As always there is a great prize at stake 😀

Love Your Kindness

Hello, everyone! I’m back with another Honey Bee Stamps card today. I made two cards that are bright and have me ready for summer colors 🙂 And, of course, I’m using lots of my favorite Honey Bee products to create some great thank yous. Let’s take a look!

The color combos I used remind me of melons! I found myself craving cantaloupe and honey dew 😀 I love the way the black stands out against them as well.
