Hi, Sweetie

Hey Heffy Doodle friends! It’s Cassie here, and I’m sharing a cute and easy to make card showcasing some heat embossing and ink blending today! Let’s dive right in.

I started the card by stamping the cute ice cream cone from Treat Yo’ Self all over an A2 size card panel with VersaMark ink. I sprinkled gold embossing powder over the stamped images and heat embossed them with my heat tool. I’m just loving gold right now, so I was super happy with how they turned out ๐Ÿ™‚ Next I grabbed my Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar, and Antiqued Linen Distress Oxides and ink blended over the card panel. I also smushed some of the ink on my work surface and used some water and a paint brush to splatter the colors, and some white paint, all over the images. I love this messy look!

Once the panel was dry I used a white gel pen and a pink Copic Marker and gave the cones some details. They all got some white high lights and rosy cheeks. Finally, I die cut out the letters for the phrase “hi, sweetie” from white paper using the Rascal Alphabetters dies. I love that you can use these without the stamp set and get a super cute, totally different look. It gives theย  stamps and dies so much more versatility! I popped up the letters with foam tape and that was it for my card!

I hope you enjoyed the card for today! Are you working with any of the new release products? I’ve seen some of the most amazing projects made with the new goodies on social media. Totally Spaced Your Birthday

Hi, friends! It’s Cassie here, and I’m back to share a cute card featuring some of the adorable new release. I wanted to play with the cute little aliens and this is what I came up with.

I started by die cutting one of the Stitched Square dies and ink blending some Distress Oxide inks over it. I went with some blues and purples for a spacey look. I also made sure to add some splatter for some interest. While that dried I worked on coloring in my images. I colored in the alien, a flag, and the planet from the You’re Weird stamp set. I colored them in with copic markers and fussy cut them out.

Next I attached my colored images with foam tape to the card base. I added some white gel pen accents to them to give it some fun detail. Then I grabbed a sentiment from the Spaced Out stamp set and heat embossed it in the background with white embossing powder.

To finish off the card I added some clear iridescent stars all over the background. I love the way they shimmer in the light! And that’s it for my card ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you enjoyed! Be sure to tag us when you’re using the new Heffy Doodle release so we can see all your fun creations!

Big Bug Hugs Bookmark

Hi, everyone! I’m back to share a cute bookmark I made for my sister today! In the summer we tend to read a lot, so I thought it would be a fun and easy gift to give her as a kick off to our reading season. With the Mark My Words dies it’s so easy to put a bookmark together for someone…or yourself!

I started by die cutting two of the bookmarks with the circle on the top and glued them together. I wanted the bookmark to be sturdy and hold up better, and this helped. Then I stamped on my elements. I used the Big Bug Hugs stamp set to decorate the front. The only thing that was popped up with foam tape was the front grass. Everything else that I stamped was flat.

I colored the images in with my Copics and ink blended on some of the Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink for the sky. Finally, I die cut one of the circles from the Stitched Circles dies and the M from the Stitched Alphabetters die set and put them together to personalize the bookmark for my sister. And that was it for my project! I hope you enjoyed it ๐Ÿ™‚ Who else tends to go through more books in the summer?? I’m excited to crack into a new book soon and I might have to make myself a bookmark like this one for the occasion! Thanks so much for stopping by. I’ll see you again soon with another project!

Heffy Doodle Thermoweb Collab!

Hello, everyone! It’s Cassie here, and I’m sharing my card for the Thermoweb/Heffy Doodle collab. The projects this week have been so fun, and I can’t wait to share mine with you. There are so many gorgeous products on the Thermoweb site that I had a hard time narrowing it down, but I knew I had to use the amazing Glitter Gels. I used the Gold Glitter Gel with the Heffy Doodle with the Starfall Stencil on some of the Bubblegum cardstock from Thermoweb.

Before using the Glitter Gel I sprayed the card stock with some of the Glitter Dust glitter spray over the surface. It added the most beautiful shimmer to the card stock. You can even see it in the photos! Next I die cut one of the circles from the Stitched Circle die set and stamped a lion from Ad-roar-able Lions on it. I used my copics to color it in and added a crown ๐Ÿ™‚

Next I stamped the Whatcha Sayin’ speech bubble with a sentiment in it and die cut it out. To make sure the dies didn’t shift when I ran them through I used the purple tape you see in the photo. It was great for holding the die to the paper, but didn’t rip the paper when I removed it!

And that is it for my card today! Be sure to check out the Thermoweb blog and see their teams awesome projects! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I’ll see you again soon with another card!

Thanks Card

Hi, everyone! It’s Cassie here from Creatively Cass, and I’m happy to be back on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog sharing a card with you today! Lately I’ve been needing an abundance of thank you cards, so for today’s post I decided to make one using some products I’ve been itching to use. Let’s jump right in.

I started by cutting down some 110 lb white card stock to be 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 for an A2 card. Then I used the adorable Newton’s Nook stencil Bold Blooms with my Distress Oxide colors Worn Lipstick and Tattered Rose to get this beautiful floral background.

Next, I die cut the Big Thanks die from some 110 lb white card stock. I wanted to make sure it popped on the busy background, so I went ahead and heat embossed some gold embossing powder after stamping with the Big Thanks stamp set on the letters.

To finish the card i attached the thanks die with foam tape and it as complete! This was a super easy design, but it really packs a punch with all the beautiful elements. I hope you enjoyed the card for today, and I’ll see you again soon with another one!

Your Next Stamp Challenge

Hi everyone! I’m popping in today to share a card I made for the new Your Next Stamp challenge. The new theme is “ombre” and I couldn’t wait to get crafty with this in mind ๐Ÿ™‚

I used the new Butterfly Panel die over a piece of card stock that I had ink blended Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide over to create my ombre. I heat embossed a sentiment and used foam tape to adhere it. And my card was complete! I hope you enjoyed my creation for today. Be sure to stop over to the Your Next Stamp blog and join us for the new challenge!

Big Bug Hugs

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to the blog.ย  I’m back to share a card with you using some cute Heffy Doodle stamps and some easy heat embossing. Let’s jump in!

I started by cutting down a piece of pink card stock to A2 size. Then I took the Big Bug Hugs stamp set and stamped the lady bug all over the panel using VersaMark ink. I heat embossed white embossing powder over them and added some white gel pen dots for some fun interest.

Next I stamped out a couple of the sentiments from the set onto black paper with the same VersaMark ink and white embossing powder. I trimmed them down and popped them onto my card with foam tape.

The last thing to do was to adhere the panel onto a card base! I hope you enjoyed my quick and easy card for today! Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you again soon with another card!
