Your Next Stamp Blog Hop!

Hello, everyone! Welcome back! Today I get to join in on the Your Next Stamp April Release Blog Hop. I can’t believe it’s April already, but I’m so excited about the new release and all the new products it brings! I’ve got two projects to share with you, and I have the links for the hop at the bottom of this post. Be sure to leave comments to increase your chance of winning an awesome prize! Plus I have a coupon code to share with you 🙂

The release this month is so playful and fun and one of my favorite products is definitely the Aquarium Antics stamp set. It’s full of cute little fish and other sea creatures that make for a perfect under the sea scene. It also has a couple fish tanks too. I have so many ideas for using this set! The awesome thing is there’s also a die set being release that will make a shaker fish bowl-which I can’t wait to make a project with! Here’s the card I made with it: 044

I simply made a Distress Ink background using a piece of paper I cut to make a mask. It was so easy. Next I stamped out a bunch of the fish and other creatures and colored them in with my Copics. I knew this card was going to be a bit busy so I tried to keep the number of colors I used to a minimum. I also die cut, out of the center of the water scene, the work ‘tank’ using the new Bold Alpha diesanother favorite! I stamped the word ‘you’ from the Aquarium Antics set below the die cut work and added some black paper behind it to match the black stamping. I attached all my little fish with foam tap and added some glossy accents to their eyes and white gel pen detail to their bodies. After I added some clear Nuvo Crystal Clear drops this card was finished! Here a look at the Aquarium Antics stamp set:

My next projects uses a set that features some familiar characters to YNS. The Coffee Chick set is the perfect mix of sweet and funny.

I made this card by die cutting the Peek-A-Boo Trio Die set on a card panel I had blended some Distress Oxide  onto. Then on a panel that was going to be attached behind the brown piece I blended some more Distress Oxide Ink to match the colors I was going to use for the cups. I stamped out the chicks and their mugs and colored them in with my Copics. I glued each of the chicks onto their cup with some Tombow glue. I stamped the sentiment ‘life happens coffee helps’ above and below the cut out squares, making sure to leave enough room for the chicks I was planning on adding. I added them with foam tape and finished the card off with the Enchanted Forest Glitter Gumdrops that are new this release! I’m becoming a little bit obsessed with the Gumdrops. I think I may need them in every color eventually!

Those are my two projects for today! I hope you liked them. There are still so many projects and products to see in this release blog hop so be sure to keep moving along and leaving comments to win a $25 YNS gift certificate! Click the link below to keep going:

Also be sure to use the coupon code that is good through April 6th! Thank you so much for stopping by 🙂  I hope you’re having a great Saturday, and I’ll see you again soon with another card!
