YNS Preview Day

Hello, all! Welcome back!! Who else is super pumped that its World Card Making Day!? I’m super excited, and it just so happens that it’s also Your Next Stamp’s preview day for their October release. Yes, it’s October already. I’m still wondering where September went too. But it’s a great release this month so let’s dive in!

I’m showcasing the adorable Deck The Halls set today. It features cute little animals and a little door and steps for scene building. I love when other crafters use a brick stencil with door images, but I didn’t have one so I went with a messy background strie stamp and some black paint splatter. All of the images were stamped on Bristol Smooth card stock and heat embossed to make it easier to color them in with my Distess Inks and some water.

I popped the door, owl and steps up on the card with foam tape, and the rest were glued straight down. I picked one of the beautiful sentiments from the set and heat embossed it at the bottom with gold embossing powder. And that’s my preview to share with you! We’ll be back later today with a blog hop to share a lot more projects and the whole release with you.

Also keep an eye out for a couple more posts I have coming today to celebrate World Card Making Day! Honestly, I think you’re going to get a bit sick of me by the time the day is done! 😀 Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh my goodness !! This is such an adorable card !! I love the way colored it. The critters are so cute ! The stamp set seems to be pretty cool and the sentiment as well.

  2. I really like how you “done up” this Deck the Halls which is such a cute lookin’ set.. I’m happy to NOT see brick and actually love how you finished out your background.
