Hello, everyone! Welcome to the Heffy Doodle blog hop! We’ve got so many great projects to share today and, of course, there is a great prize of a gift certificate to the shop! Hop along with us and leave some comments to enter. Alright…let’s get to my card!

If I haven’t said it before (although I’m pretty sure I have!) I love the new release! There’s so much you can do with it, and it all works so well together! I started out by die cutting the white panel, and the smaller framed piece from the Clover Frames Dies.  I ink blended the inner part of the framed die piece so that it looked like the sky and grass. For the border, I ink blended some Fossilized Amber over it. On an A2 sized panel I also ink blended some of the Fossilized Amber so that it would make the scalloped corner die pop.

I also die cut the pop up window from the Clover Frames dies. I love all the interactive pieces in this die set. I adhered the scalloped corner die down to the A2 size panel making sure that the area above the pop up window was not glued down at all, so I could stick in a little surprise for the recipient! To make it crystal clear for who ever gets this cutie, I stamped “I have a surprise inside” and an arrow from the Interactively Yours stamp set. I also grabbed the sentiment from Honey Bunny Boo ” you’re eggstra special to me” and heat embossed it onto a shorten Stitched Strips of Ease.

To create my scene I stamped the cute little chickie, shell and hearts from Eggcellent News and colored them in with my Copics. I also stamped a word bubble with the sentiment “I think you’re great” inside it from the Whatcha Sayin’ stamp set. I die cut them all out using the coordinating dies-which makes things so easy! Then all I had to do was put things together!

I added everything on to my card base and used foam tape for some dimension. When all was said and done I love the interactive quality to it, and the bright fun colors! I hope you did too! Below are the links to all the other blogs to hop to! Remember to leave comments along the way to enter yourself to win that gift certificate. What’s your favorite new product from the release?? Have you seen anything so far that’s inspired you?

  1. Wow what a superb card – just love all the shading and the frames. A gift section at the bottom too – what a fantastic idea. I often make gift wallets but this has given me a new idea which I will definitely use for future money gift. Thank you for this great card and the great inspiration too.

  2. Wow ! What a great card using so many bits from different sets to pull together. Your colours are bright, breezy and happy and that chick makes you smile the instant you see it.

  3. Cassie, I love what you have done with the products from the Heffy Doodle latest release. I also like to make ‘Fun Folds’ or ‘Interactive Cards’ so this die with the small lift up from the ‘Clover Frame Dies’ is ideal for this. The stamps from the ‘Interactively Yours’ stamps are definitely a stamp set I could use in my projects over and over again. So too are the stamps from ‘WHATCH SAYIN’ which I think is such a great way to get a sentiment across especially as I use a lot of critters in my card designs. Thank you Cassie, I learnt a lot from your blog post today. :O)

  4. Wow, what a fun and clever card! Love the coloring and use of frames! Very cool idea to make the gift pocket with the dies! Whoever receives this card is going to be thrilled with just the design alone, let alone the tucked in gift. You’ve given me some great ideas! Thank you for the awesome inspiration!

Oh my goodness, Kelly, your card is too cute! St patty’s Day is often overlooked, so this was a wonderful surprise. Wonderful new release by Heffy Doodle and I’m so glad she included this little leprechaun He’s just too cute!

    1. i have no idea how two comments for two different blogs got posted, when I only had one in the block. So sorry about that. I know I’m a little crazy, but didnt realize I was that crazy! LOL! I believe I may have been trying to delete and correct a comment that I messed up. Not sure, anyway, my apologies on the fiasco
