Hi friends! I have to admit I’m happy that it’s Wednesday! With everything going on this week I’m looking forward to the weekend. But I’m also excited that it’s Wednesday because that means I get to share my Design Team Dare project with you! This week we had the prompt “gratitude” to work off of. I knew right away I wanted to work with the new set One In A Melon.
I started out by using alcohol inks on some Tim Holtz alcohol ink paper. I love the look of alcohol ink, so I thought this would be a fun color combo to use. Once that was dry I used a heart die to cut out the part of the inking that I liked the most.
I stamped the sentiment “you’re one in a melon” in VersaMark on the heart and heat embossed gray embossing powder over it. I love that doing this tied in the color of seeds for the watermelon look! I stamped the flamingo from the set and colored him in with my Copic Markers. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut him out. Both him and the heart were popped up with foam tape.
To finish off my card I added some green gumdrops from the shop. I added the whole panel to a card base and my card was complete! I hope you liked the card for today! Be sure to head over to the Your Next Stamp blog to see all the inspiration from the whole team!
I hope you all have a lovely rest of your week and I’ll see you again soon with another card!
