copics, dies, distress oxide, ink blending, your next stamp

Your Next Stamp Challenge

Hi, everyone! It’s been a little quiet around here, but this weekend is going to be busy with blog posts! My first one to kick off the weekend is sharing a card I made for the Your Next Stamp Challenge #90. I went with the sketch challenge today.

Here’s what I came up with!

I started by stamping and coloring some of the pineapples from the Punny Pineapple stamp set. I colored them in with my Copics and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I adhered them down to a Stitched Scallop Rectangle die that I cut out of some white card stock and had ink blended some distress ink over.

Next I heat embossed the sentiment “you are appreciated” onto some black card stock with the stamp set Washi Tape Sentiments. I wanted to jazz up my pineapple a little so I also die cut the glasses from the coordinating dies in the Punny Pineapple set to look like sunglasses. I added glossy accents to those, the umbrella and straw and my card was complete!

I hope you enjoyed the card for Challenge #90! Be sure to head over to the Your Next Stamp blog and check out the other inspiration as well as find out how to win a great prize! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

  1. I can’t believe how great your shading is on your pineapples – love the glasses on the one. I hope you are not only busy with creating, but that you are enjoying it immensely!
