Hello, everyone! I’m back today with a bright fun birthday card to share with you for Penguin Palace! Have you been over to the Penguin Palace shop?? The store is open for perusing, and will be open for purchasing in just a few short days! This set is one of my favorites from the new release. It’s called Birthday Unicorn, rightfully so, and features some unicorns and cute scene building images for a birthday party! Let’s take a look 🙂
I started this card by stamping out some of the unicorns and coloring them in with my Copic markers. I love using pastel colors for their hair, and went with some pinks and aqua for the colors. I die cut them using the coordinating dies and set them aside to work on my background.
I created an alcohol ink background for this card using the same colors that I used in the unicorns coloring. When that was completely dry I die cut a confetti background die from it and adhered it to a card base. Because this background is so busy, I wanted to give my unicorns something that would make them stand out. I used a curvy border die to create this swooshed strip and adhered my unicorns to it. I also heat embossed the fun sentiment on it with gold embossing powder.
To finished the card I added some white gel pen accents to the background as well as the unicorns. And that was it for this card! I think this is one of my all time favorite cards that I’ve created. I just love the fun colors and cute images. Have you been over to the Penguin Palace shop? What’s your favorite product? Mine is either these cute unicorns or the super sweet hedgehog set. Thanks so much for stopping by today! I’ll see you again soon with another card!
