Hello, everyone! Can you believe it’s almost the end of April?! We’ve been getting the typical “April showers” weather and it actually feels like spring at least! This year is already flying 🙂 I’m back today to share a card I made for Penguin Palace. I wanted to make a birthday card for someone that was chalk full of mermaids, and here’s what I came up with.
I stamped and colored in mermaids from the Take a Break, Get Well Soon, and Let’s Catch Up. Instead of using the coordinating dies, I fussy cut each of the images so that there was no white border when I added them to the background I went on to create.
I ink blended Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of A2 size paper. Then I adhered all of the mermaids to the panel after splattering it with water and paint and letting it dry. Then I die cut the It’s Your Day die and used the letters to create the sentiment. I used foam tape to adhere them for some dimension.
To add some fun I added a bunch of Nuvo Crystal Drops to the card in multiple colors and white gel pen details to each of the images. I hope you enjoyed the card for today! I hope you’re having a good week, and I’ll see you again soon with another card!
