Hi everyone! Welcome back to Creatively Cass 🙂 I’m back today to share a card I made for Penguin Palace using their cute new release. The big day was yesterday and everything was available for sale! Did you pick anything up!? There are a lot of cute products, so I wouldn’t blame you if you did!
I’ve still got the alcohol ink bug, and I wanted to create another alcohol ink background for this scene using the Piggy Post stamp set. I started out by creating that background on some yupo paper. The awesome thing about using alcohol inks and the yupo paper is that you can keep working on it until you really like the outcome. I kept adding different shades of blue and the alcohol ink solution until I liked the mix I got. Once that was completely dry I used a powder tool and stamped the stars from the set with VersaMark ink. I just replaced my VersaMark ink pad and it’s so nice and juicy! I can’t believe I waited that long to get a new one. It makes a huge difference for getting a good stamp the first time. I used gold embossing powder over the stars to make it look like the pig was floating up into a night sky.
Next I stamped out the pig and a bunch of balloons. I colored those in k with my Copic markers, sticking to the blue theme. Everything was cut out with the Piggy Post coordinating dies. I attached a gold thread to each balloon and then arranged them how I wanted them on the card panel which was die cut with a stitched rectangle. Twisting the ends of the strings, I made sure to hide them behind where the pig would be hanging. He too was adhered to the card panel, but I popped him up with foam tape.
Finally, I stamped out my sentiment on some black cardstock and heat embossed it as well. I used foam tape to adhere it over my balloons. I added some white gel pen accents and then my card was complete! I hope you enjoyed the card for today! If you like any of the products I used be sure to head over to Penguin Palace and check out their awesome new release! Thank you so much for stopping by 🙂 I’ll see you again soon with another card!
Hello, everyone! Welcome to my post for Your Next Stamp’s March Preview. We’re gearing up for the release of the new March products that’s coming later today, and there are so many fun new stuff to share!
For my preview project today I’m sharing this card I made using the new Whatnot Sentiments Twelve set.
There are definitely a couple more sneak peeks in this project for you too! The sentiments in this set are perfect for birthdays cards, and they have nice big, bold fonts.
I hope my card for today has gotten you excited for the whole release to come! There are a lot more projects from the rest of the design team which you can find over at the Your Next Stamp blog.
Be sure to come back later for the blog hop and check out the release!
Hello everyone, and happy Saturday! Can you believe it’s time for a new release already? It feels like we were just celebrating Your Next Stamp’s birthday release! But it’s September now and we’ve got even more adorable products to share with you 🙂
I used a lot of the new products from the September release, but the one I’m highlighting today is the Washi Tape Sentiments. There are some really awesome Washi Tape Strip dies that you can cut from any card stock, and then there’s a whole set of sentiments that can fit into either of the two washi tape die sizes.
Here I heat embossed my sentiment onto the die cut washi strip and it was the perfect way to add a sentiment to my card! I think fall crafting is my very favorite, so I’m super excited to show more from this release! I’ll be back later to join in the September release blog hop, so be sure to check that out as well!
Thank you so much for stopping by, and I’ll see you again soon!
Happy Friday, everyone!!! Am I the only one excited for the weekend? Today’s card sums up my horrible track record with sending cards out on time. When I saw this new stamp set by Mint Owl Studio called Sloth Hang Out I knew I’d be using it a ton!
If you want to read more about how I made this card be sure to hop over to the Mint Owl Studio blog and read all about it! I’ll see you again soon with another card!
Good morning, and welcome back to my blog! I’m on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog today and the card I made is a funny Halloween take on a Christmas stamp set. I saw this Let’s Mingle set and decided it was going to be morphed into a Halloween scene.
Here’s the set for comparison to what the card became:
And here are the trick-or-treat mice they became:
From left to right we have, Minnie Mouse, a Starbucks drink, a pumpkin, a queen and Harry Potter. There’s a ton of information over on the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog on how I made this card and all the products I used to make it, so be sure to head over there to get all the details! Thanks SO much for stopping by today, and I’ll see you soon with another card!!
I’ve got a great card for you today! It’s showcasing the new set from Mint Owl Studio called Piggy Party.
I love the playfulness of this set. There are so many fun things you can do with it. Let’s jump in to the card I’ve made for today 🙂
I used the fences to make a background for the pig my stamping them in a masked off circle. I used Distress Ink to create the ground and sky. The fences got colored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I love those things! I need to start using them more.
Here’s a close up.
As you can see I colored the pig in too. I also used the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers for him. Then I used the same Distress Ink as the ground to give him a little splatter of mud! I thought this made him look a little more fun, like he’d been rolling in the mud.
I used the ‘miss you’ from the Scripty Sentiments set and paired it with some of the sentiments from the Piggy Party set. This involved some masking of the sentiments to get it to say just what I wanted. I cut the piece into a banner and attached to the card base.
I made a small card this week using MFT’s square dies with the fun border. For a final touch I added some die cut hearts that mimicked the pigs color with the mud splatters.
That’s all for today! I hope you enjoyed the card. Are you guys psyched for the new Mint Owl Studio products? I just love this piggy set!
