Misti & Heffy Doodle Collab Blog Hop!

Hi, all! Welcome to the next stop of the My Sweet Petunia & Heffy Doodle Blog Hop. If you’re just starting the hope here, you’ll want to go back to the Heffy Doodle blog so you don’t miss any of the fun projects! Heffy Doodle and My Sweet Petunia teamed up to create some awesome projects for today’s hop. I love my Misti stamping tool, so today’s card was a no brainer! I use my Misti to stamp almost all of my images, but it especially comes in handy when you want to stamp multiples of a lot of images. This is exactly what I needed to do for today’s card.

What I like to do is line up my images to be stamped on one side of the piece of card stock so that I can stamp them once, turn the card stock around and then stamp them again. This way I get to use the card stock up and don’t have to worry about moving the images around. I did this exact technique with the cuties from Hello Squeakheart. Once they were stamped I colored them in with my Copics.

Next, I die cut all the pieces with the coordinating dies for Hello Sqeakheart. I love having a ton of little images to create a scene with. I wasn’t able to use all of the pieces for the card today, but the good thing is I saved the ones I didn’t so that I could use them on a project later.

Once all my images were cut out I arranged them all on a card panel that I die cut with the stitched rectangle from the Clover Frames die set. I had ink blended some Cracked Pistachio and Walnut Stain for the background before adhering all of the pieces. Another nice thing about the Misti Stamping Tool is that you can add a sentiment after you’ve added dimension to your card, and are worried about getting a good stamp impression. I put my card into the stamping tool and inked up ‘hello’ from Hello Squeakheart to start off my sentiment.

Then, I used the stamping tool to stamp perfectly onto the Stitched Strips of Ease die that I had cut out. I stamped in VersaMark Ink so that I could heat emboss silver embossing powder over it.

I adhered the heat embossed strip and added some embellishments to the card, and it was complete!!

I hope you enjoyed the card I made for today’s hop! I had a lot of fun making it. All the little pieces were fun to color and put together.

  1. What an impressive scene! I tend to go with singular focal points, so this many mice would feel very intimidating, but I really like how you’ve put them all together. They look like such happy little friends. I appreciate the encouragement to fill my cards!

  2. Ok… I’m not a mouse person. That said, I am totally in love with these mice and your card is just burgeoning with cuteness!!! THOSE are some mice I wouldn’t mind having sitting on my counter!!
