Your Next Stamp October Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Thanks for stopping by to see some fun products by Your Next Stamp!! If you’ve been with me since the beginning of the day–thank you! You made it through four posts! 😀 I’m ending with a bang for World Card Making Day. The new Your Next Stamp release is so fun. There are lots of great new goodies this month, some which are perfect for holiday crafting…or not! I’m sharing one of my favorite sets from this release, and showing you how it can be used for a birthday card.

You may remember I used the Deck the Halls stamp set for my preview this morning, and went with a holiday card. However, now I’m going to share how I made a birthday card with the same stamps and another set being released called Plan the Holidays.

I stamped the door and used a craft knife to cut the door open. I wanted to create a little surprise party for this little bunny. I stamped out some of his friends from the Deck the Halls set and a bunch of scene building images from the Plan the Holidays set. Plan the Holidays is intended to be used for planners, but I thought they could also be great additions to cards. Everything was stamped with Black Olive ink and colored with Copics.

Here’s our little bunny, none-the-wiser about his party. The door doesn’t stay shut, due to the thickness of everything behind it, but I still think it’s pretty cute.

I love the idea of pairing these sets together for all the holidays featured in Plan the Holidays. You could get a lot of mileage out of it that way!

Another product I really loved was the Snowflake Panel Die. It’s a little square die that cuts out snowflakes with a stitched border. I paired it with the Tweet Holiday set that is also being released today.

I stamped the birds and colored them with Copics. Then I die cut them out. To create the snowflake panel die piece I stamped the Snowfall stamp on Neenah Solar white and ink blended Broken China Distress Oxide ink over it. Then I die cut the panel from it, as well as 3 other white pieces of paper for layer. I glued all of them together to get some dimension.

I used some of the snowflakes that were cut out around the outside of the mini square. And that was it for this card!

There’s a coupon code that can be used today through the 12th. Don’t forget to use it if you place an order!

There’s a lot more to see in the hop. Be sure to take a look at everyone’s projects and leave a comment on everyone’s post for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to YNS 🙂 Click the blue box below to navigate through the hop.

And that’s it for today! I hope you all got some great crafty time, and enjoyed seeing the projects I made for today. I got to spend the morning making cards at an event called Stamp Camp that is run by our friend Dawn and a couple of her good friends. Every year we have so much fun doing make and takes and stuffing ourselves with the amazing lunch they serve. It’s something I look forward to every year 🙂

Have a great day! And I’ll see you again soon with another card!
